Our opinion of Unawatuna:

We absolutely enjoyed our time in Unawatuna, especially in the areas of Habaraduwa Beach and Koggala Beach. These beaches are stunning and typically less crowded than others in the region, making morning and afternoon strolls through their paradisiacal sands truly incredible. If you are fortunate, you might even catch a glimpse of baby turtles or witness turtles laying eggs, depending on the season. We recommend dedicating one day to exploring Galle and another to spending time around Unawatuna Beach. For the remainder of your visit, make sure to savor these two amazing beaches. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it by three more days.
